Future Stars Performance Company 2011-2012

Auditions: Wednesday July 13th, 5:00-6:00 pm

(This Company is for Ages 4 to 6)

Future Stars Performance Competition Company is our outstanding early competition program to prepare promising young dancers for competition and technical excellence. Based on a similar format to our current competition team, dancers will get to experience what it is like to be a competitive dancer and see the competition world first hand. Because this program is only a two day per week commitment, it is designed to ease your child into the company at a financial and time commitment level that is feasible for busy families, while remaining a fun and challenging environment for them to learn and grow.

Training

Dancers will be trained in Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary/ Lyrical, Technique, Strength, and Flexibility. Classes and Rehearsals are included in the 2 hour time block on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Dancers in the company will work in a cohesive group setting under myself and the other wonderful teachers at the studio.

Schedule outline: Classes will be held 4:30-6:30pm

Tuesday: company rehearsal, technique training class, jazz class

Thursday: company rehearsal, ballet technique class, contemporary/lyrical class, turns & leaps class

Pricing

Monthly tuition, will be split into equal monthly payments beginning in September 1^st 2011 and ending June 1^st, 2012. Dancers taking summer classes can add on an additional package at that time.

• Costume Deposit: (Due August 15^th, 2011) =$200.00. This will be deducted from your costume fees. Remaining costume fees will be billed in early October.
• Monthly Tuition: $150.00 per month (September- June) Includes all classes and rehearsals. Future Stars Performance company does not go to nationals, so there will be no additional monthly tuition. Optional Summer Classes would be on a separate package.
• Competition Fees: 4 Competitions (about $35.00-40.00 per dance x 2 dances per competition)= Total of $320.00
• Costumes: 2 Costume at approx. $150.00 = $300.00
• Shoes: Ballet Shoes: $25.00, Jazz Shoes: $35.00
  (You purchase, we supply the style and brand).
• Warm-Up Package: Approx. $120.00 for basic package. Does not need to be replaced every year. Optional additional items are available.
  (Due September 8^th, 2011)
• Make-Up: $70.00 Approximate! You purchase, we supply style/brand.
• Jewelry: $45.00-80.00 Does not need to be replaced every year
• Tights: $50.00… probably need about 4 pairs of tights.. approximate!
• SDA Convention Fee: $115.00…. we fly in amazing instructions from all over the country to provide intensive classes for your child. This was a wonderful opportunity for learning for the kids last year, and we would like to continue this tradition. Held in February of each year.
• Performance Company Summer Intensive: $120.00 …. Will be held August 8^th and 9^th from 10 am to 12:30 pm. We will be learning both of the competition routines for the upcoming season! Due on August 1^st with paperwork.

Other Information

The program will be run by myself, Christina Bedoe, and a few other talented Storm instructors. You may stay in the building during rehearsals if you want, but the dancers will be kept with us the whole time, so it is not necessary for parents to stay. They will have a quick snack break in the middle, so send something to eat, or they can use the café. A meeting will be held in early September, where you will receive a calendar of competitions for the year, events, etc, as well as a handbook. We are very excited for the opportunity to work with your dancer…. This promises to be a wonderful experience for them and us! We can’t wait to get started!

Commitment to the program is due August 1^st, 2011. Please bring in your paperwork and costume deposit at that time for registration.
